The Corporate Recruiters Survey is our annual survey of employers that recruit on b-school campuses. In 2012, 1,096 employers from 800 companies participated in the Corporate Recruiters Survey, representing 40 countries and 37 US states plus the District of Columbia. A total of 128 business schools in 30 countries facilitated the survey administration.

Highlights From the 2012 Survey

More companies plan to hire recent MBAs in 2012 (79%, up from 72% in 2011), and at increased numbers (17 per firm, on average).

Small companies (<1,000 employees) account for the largest proportional increase in demand for MBAs and graduates with specialized business master’s degrees.

Demand for Master of Accounting grads has grown, especially in the Asia-Pacific region, where the percentage of companies hiring these graduates is 54% in 2012, up from 38% in 2011.

Survey Overview
Each year, through the cooperation of participating schools, GMAC surveys employers that work with schools to hire new graduates and alumni to gather data about the job market for graduate management alumni as well as their expected salaries in various industries and job levels in coming year. The survey also gathers information about employer satisfaction with recent hires of MBA and other management programs and their satisfaction with the school career services offices with whom they recently worked...
