Universities, Businesses and You: For a Sustainable Future
ASEF, the University of Groningen (RUG) in the Netherlands (2012) and the ASEAN University Network (AUN) are co-organising the 3rd ASEM Rectors' Conference on 25-26 September 2012. Themed "Universities, Businesses and You: For a Sustainable Future", the Conference will build on the results of the 2nd ASEM Rectors' Conference (Seoul, October 2010) and be informed by the priorities laid out in the conclusions of the 3rd Asia-Europe Meeting of Ministers for Education (Copenhagen, May 2011)
The 2012 ASEM Rectors' Conference will be enriched by a select number of side-events geared to enhance the quality of content and visibility of the stakeholders’ process.
Objectives

To strengthen the stakeholder process and further enhance its articulation within the ASEM Education Process;

To integrate student participation into the stakeholder process;

To contribute actively to enhancing working relations, institutional exchange and cooperation of universities within and between the regions; and
-
To develop recommendations for the upcoming 4th Asia-Europe Meeting of Ministers for Education (Malaysia, 2013).
