State Duma deputies have drafted legislation to
introduce bachelor's and master's degrees and make other changes to bring
Russia's education system in line with the West's, Gazeta.ru reported
Wednesday.
The news web site, citing sources in the Duma's Education and Science Committee, said the legislation would help Russian graduates find jobs in the West, where employers sometimes refuse to recognize Russian degrees and require applicants to pass additional tests.
